Sericis Monastrell is a red wine made from 100% Monastrell grapes, sourced from the DO Alicante, a warm climate zone with strong Mediterranean influence and interior contrasts that favor optimal grape maturation. The harvest is done manually, followed by de-stemming and a gentle crushing of the grapes. The must undergoes a cold pre-fermentation maceration for 3-4 days and then ferments with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature of up to 26 \u00b0C. After about 21 days of maceration, the wine is racked. The wine ages for a minimum of 14 months in new French oak barrels, adding complexity and structure.
