Artadi El Pisón is the first single-vineyard wine from the Artadi winery, planted in 1945 in Laguardia (Rioja Alavesa), made from 100% Tempranillo. The family-run winery, led by Juan Carlos López de Lacalle and his children, decided to leave the Denomination of Qualified Origin and follow their path as “Vino de Álava-Laguardia” in the Basque Country. It undergoes fermentation in new 500-liter French oak barrels and rests in oak for 9 to 12 months.
Description
Cherry red. On the nose, floral aromas, red fruit and spices stand out. On the palate it is balanced, with good volume and sweet tannins.
