Quinta Couselo is a historic winery and a pioneer of the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin in Galicia. Its surroundings are full of charm, essence, and the tradition of centuries-old Galician viticulture. In fact, its history is closely linked to the majestic Cistercian monastery of Santa Maria de Oia, whose monks already discovered the potential of the O Rosal Valley for vine cultivation. In short, Quinta Couselo is one of the oldest recorded wineries in Rías Baixas, producing wines since the mid-19th century. Quinta Couselo O Rosal is a white wine where the Albariño grape predominates, complemented, as is typical in the O Rosal subzone, with Caíño Blanco and Loureira. They ferment separately at controlled temperatures and then blend, aging on their fine lees for 6 months before bottling.
