Ontañón is a family winery with several generations behind the viticulture and production of quality wines. Located in the capital of the Rioja community, they produce both traditional-style wines and others in line with new market trends, all adhering to the highest quality standards in all their brands. Rippa Dorii Roble is a red wine made by the Ontañón family within the DO Ribera del Duero. It is a single-varietal Tempranillo from their own vineyards in Fuentecén, on a plateau at 900 meters altitude in the heart of the Ribera del Duero Burgalés. For its aging, the high plateau vineyards are selected, with cold maceration and subsequent alcoholic fermentation. The aging process is done in barrels for a minimum of 12 months, using a combination of French and American oak barrels, with both first and second-use barrels.
