Tobelos Crianza 2020

Bodega Tobelos is located in Briñas -near Haro-, one of the areas with the richest winemaking tradition in Rioja. It belongs to Rioja Alta and is influenced, on one side, by the Sierra Cantabria and, on the other, by the long course of the Ebro River. The project began in the last decade of the 20th century and has been growing year by year in quality and diversity of labels. Harvesting is mostly done manually, as the vineyards surround the winery, allowing for very thorough maturity control, with each of the different plots vinified separately in a fragmented manner before deciding on the wines to be produced based on the harvest evolution. Tobelos Crianza is a single-varietal red wine made from grapes sourced from plots in 4 different municipalities, all owned by the winery. After the harvest, homogeneous plots are grouped together to ferment in stainless steel tanks, and later they age for a minimum of 12 months in French oak barrels (70%) and American oak barrels (30%).
