Bestizo is a red wine from the D.O. Bierzo produced by Bodegas Emilio Moro El Bierzo made from 100% Mencía sourced from vineyards located in Villafranca del Bierzo, on granitic soils with the presence of schists and slate. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks with 12 days of maceration and malolactic fermentation in tank, the wine undergoes 8 months of aging in a 25 hL fudre, preserving the purity of the fruit and the Atlantic identity of the variety. On the nose, aromas of blackberry, plum, cherry, and raspberry stand out, accompanied by floral notes and an elegant mineral backdrop. On the palate, it is concentrated, fresh, and balanced, with polished tannins, good acidity, and a long, persistent finish with fruity memories and a delicate earthy sensation.
