Among the Garnacha vines planted by our father in 1978, we selected the Hairy Garnacha vines and later planted new ones to preserve this varietal treasure. This variety, once common in Priorat before the phylloxera plague of the 19th century, was gradually abandoned due to its low yield and slow ripening.

Today, with climate change, these traits have become an advantage. The fine hairs on the underside of its leaves act as a natural layer that retains morning dew moisture, promoting superior phenolic ripeness with similar alcohol levels.

The harvest is done by hand, and the grapes are destemmed before fermenting in clay amphorae. Months later, the wine is transferred to 500-liter French oak barrels (2-3 years old), where it ages for 24 months before bottling.

This single-varietal wine stands out for its remarkable personality, with an intense acidity that expands on the palate, balanced tannins, and a blend of fruity and mineral aromas that make it unique.
