San Román is a red wine from the D.O. Toro made by San Román Bodegas y Viñedos from a blend of 95 % Tinta de Toro and 5 % Garnacha Tinta, sourced from vineyards located in San Román de Hornija, Villaester, and Morales de Toro, on stony and sandy-clay soils. After careful production, the wine undergoes 22 months of aging in 225 and 500-liter French oak barrels, both new and used, adding depth and elegance. The nose features predominant aromas of red fruit with a delicate floral character. On the palate, it is enveloping, refined, and balanced, with extraordinarily fine tannins, great freshness, and a long finish that reflects the personality of the great wines of Toro.
